Class of 2022 & Beyond Graduation Standards

Beginning with the class of 2022 and beyond, the requirements for an advanced and standard diploma change. Notably, students pursuing either type of diploma will only be required to take 5 SOL's in the subjects indicated by the VDOE. Once they have passed the 5 SOL's they need, they are not required to take any further SOL's. 
For more information regarding diploma requirements for the class of 2022 and beyond, please visit the VDOE website and pay attention to the sections titled "for students entering ninth grade for the first time in 2018-2019 and beyond". 
STANDARD DIPLOMA: 22 credits (including 5 verified credits*)
ADVANCED STUDIES DIPLOMA: 27 credits (including 5 verified credits*)
*A verified credit means the student has passed the course and the corresponding end-of-course SOL test.

Beginning with the class of 2022, students also must acquire the "5 C's" in order to graduate.
